The season is upon us and while many homeowners and businesses have already hung the garland and switched on their holiday lighting displays, there may be some stragglers.
If your customer is asking for a last minute holiday lighting display, here are some professional installs created by Ewing Irrigation & Landscape Supply customers.
Get that timeless look
If your customer wants that classic holiday display, the C9 warm white LED bulb is what Bubba Hogan of Dreamscapes Landscaping LLC in Memphis, Tennessee uses. Dreamscapes Landscaping LLC has been installing holiday lighting for more than 15 years.
To achieve this look, Bubba said they used icicle and mini lights in the shrubs and on the tree.
Chris Long of the GroundsGuys in Auburn, Ala., has been installing for holiday lighting for four years and used warm white C9 bulbs for this classic look with 60-inch warm white wreaths under the center peak of the house as a focal point.

“We used warm white lights on the shrubs and wrapped the four Italian Cypress trees in green lights for a bit of contrast with the white. Finally, we used warm white garland over the front doorway with red bows,” he said.
Mix it up with color

The holidays are a fun, festive time so light up your customers’ homes with a variety of color to make it stand out for the season.
Ben Sharrett of LandEffects said he used all 5mm LEDs, but mixed up the display with color. In order to mimic the effect of snow, he utilized the purple and blue bulbs.
This was Ben’s first time installing holiday lighting and said he found it quicker and easier than he thought it would be.
This display brought the Christmas cheer by interchanging red and white lights.
This was Joe Mayberry's first season installing holiday lighting with his company 48 Off Lawns Unlimited, and he said he learned a few tips and tricks from Ewing Georgetown before starting. His only regret? “That I didn’t start this a few years prior when the manager at Ewing asked if I had any interest in it,” he said. Ewing Georgetown supplied him with all of the holiday lights.
“They have been so helpful each and every time. I walk in with my list of needs and they always make sure that I get everything I need. They even offered to run some equipment out to a project that was working on. I truly believe that this venture would not have been as successful without the fine folks at Ewing,” Mayberry said.
Utilize holiday accessories
You can give your customers’ home or business that little extra holiday cheer by integrating holiday décor into the lighting display. Hallie Davis Richards said they get lots of compliments on their garland displays.
Integrate lights into the greenery to make it stand out even more! Here, the garlands feature red and warm white 5mms. The rest of this home’s display features red and warm white C7 LED retrofits.
