Education and Fun Share Center Stage at Ewing’s Main Event Tempe

September 1, 2016, Phoenix, Ariz.—Train. Eat. Compete. Those three words pulse through every bit of Ewing’s Main Event Tempe. This year’s landscape and irrigation training event, for professional contractors and maintenance personnel, is set to take place Nov. 17 in Tempe, Ariz. at the Pera Club.

Registration starts at 7 a.m., but the real fun commences at 8 a.m. Participants will be challenged to grow and develop their landscape and/or irrigation skills during workshops and hands-on field exercises. This year, during the Vendor Fair, the event will also host a “Blow Out Sale” offering special low prices to attendees only. Ewing believes education can, and should, be fun.

Jeffrey Knight, Director of Education Services for Ewing, expects great things from this year’s event and the new addition of the Blow Out Sale. “We are excited to bring this new element to an already great education and Main Event Logonetworking event. Every year gets better, and that’s the way it should be.”

Doug York, President, and CEO of Ewing, believes continuing education should be a staple in any career, especially irrigation and landscaping. “Attendees will learn about new techniques, business strategies, and how to provide safe, efficient service in the irrigation and landscape field,” York said.

The Main Event Tempe promotes learning and networking in a fun atmosphere. This year boasts a slew of classes, including old favorites and soon-to-be favorites, but all classes are created with the purpose of putting participants one step ahead in their field.

“Our goal with education is to help our professional landscape customers stay on-top of the latest irrigation and landscaping practices and technology,” Knight said. The Main Event Tempe does just that.

Courses are specifically designed for professional landscape and irrigation contractors, maintenance professionals and groundskeepers.
