Michael Maravich has Extensive Agronomics Background
FEB. 13, 2023, PHOENIX—Ewing Irrigation & Landscape Supply, the largest family-owned supplier of landscape and water management products in the country, today announced Michael Maravich as its new National Turf Products Category Manager.
“Mike’s years of successful turf product sales and marketing experience will be a great addition to the Ewing Category Management Team,” Ewing Chief Revenue Officer Tom Childers said. “His intimate knowledge of the customer and product markets is exactly what Ewing and its customers wanted.”
As National Turf Products Category Manager, Maravich will be responsible for growing the category, managing vendor relationships, engaging customers and providing product support to Ewing branch and sales staff.
“Ewing’s market presence rivals and exceeds any of its in-class competitors,” Maravich said. “My industry passion begins with category and portfolio management and strategy, so I’m excited to have the opportunity to return to those roots and represent Ewing to the industry and our customers.”
Maravich graduated from The Ohio State University in 1997 with a bachelor of science degree in turf and landscape management.
His industry experience includes sales, marketing and product development with various manufacturer and distributor service businesses in both the crop and non-crop segments. Before coming to Ewing, Maravich worked as a Marketing/Product Manager, Category Director, Business Manager and Vice President of Sales and Marketing with companies including Lesco/John Deere, Arysta LifeScience, PrimeraTurf and Sipcam Agro.
He has served on several industry boards, including Responsible Industry for a Sound Environment (RISE) and Project Evergreen.
A native of northeast Ohio, Maravich recently relocated to Phoenix from North Carolina. He also worked in Southern California for nine years.
