May 23, 2017, Phoenix, Ariz.—Warren Gorowitz, Vice President of Sustainability at Ewing Irrigation & Landscape Supply, was inducted into the Green Industry Hall of Fame on May 20, 2017, for his contributions to the green industry over the past 22 years.
“It’s an honor to be a part of a great group of highly regarded people who have contributed so much to the green industry,” said Gorowitz.
An expert on water and sustainability related issues, Gorowitz was an early pioneer in the irrigation industry’s focus on efficient irrigation, and has spent much of his career championing water conservation.
Gorowitz is an Irrigation Association Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor and Texas Licensed Irrigator. He currently serves as president-elect of the Irrigation Association. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Ornamental Horticulture from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California and an Executive Master’s of Sustainability Leadership from Arizona State University.
The Green Industry Hall of Fame was created to honor and preserve the contributions of exceptional individuals who have served as leaders of the green industry. Held annually since 2005, inductees are selected from many divisions of the green industry.
Gorowitz is the third inductee from Ewing, following Ray York in 2012 and Sue York in 2013.
