March 18, 2009, Phoenix, Ariz.—Viewing Alabama’s tremendous opportunity for growth, Ewing Irrigation Products opens a new location in Huntsville, Alabama.
Located at 2703 University Drive N.W., the 6,500-square-foot Huntsville location will run under the management of Thomas Erb, a 25-year Green Industry veteran who specializes in landscape lighting and irrigation troubleshooting and maintains certifications through the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI) as well as Pentair Water Systems for centrifugal and submersible pumps.
Having formerly served as an irrigation contractor in Alabama and Florida, Erb understands what distributors need to bring to the counter to best serve their customers needs.
“We will work hard toward establishing ourselves in the market by focusing on what matters to the customer—inventory, pricing and a knowledgeable staff,” said Erb. “We plan to help our customers diversify their service offering by providing education on new product lines such as landscape lighting and water features.”
Another advantage of Ewing, Erb notes, is their strong conviction to water conservation products, which are becoming even more crucial to a landscape professional’s livelihood in the industry. Joining Erb is Jeff Hoot, nine-year Green Industry veteran with extensive experience in both the distribution sector and landscape maintenance.
