August 2, 2017, PHOENIX— Ewing Irrigation & Landscape Supply, the largest family-owned supplier of landscape and water management products in the country, today announced Jeff Lanahan as the Executive Vice President of Business Development.
In this new role, Lanahan will participate in strategy development and execution for the company’s continued growth and expansion. Lanahan’s background includes experience in strategic planning and operations, mergers and acquisitions, procurement and logistics, sales and marketing, accounting and finance, talent management and information technology.
“For 95 years, Ewing has been extending its reach, services and products throughout the country. Jeff’s immense knowledge and experience in our industry and business will strengthen our strategy and efforts in this area,” said Douglas W. York, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Lanahan brings to Ewing a robust landscaping industry background, previously serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Pioneer Sand Company, a leading distributor of hardscaping materials in the western United States. Previously he led the John Deere Landscapes Division as Senior Vice President for 14 years, overseeing multiple enterprise departments and sales regions, increasing profitability and directing new business development. Lanahan also held leadership roles at Century Rain Aid for six years, leaving as the Executive Vice President.

Lanahan serves on the Board of Directors of the Irrigation Association, and is an active member of the National Association of Wholesalers and National Association of Landscape Professionals. He completed the Executive Management Program from Kellogg School of Management, with a concentration on marketing, finance and procurement. He earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and Accounting from University of Detroit Jesuit Mercy.
