Ewing Gains New Leadership in Water Management

August 5, 2014, Phoenix, Ariz.—Steve McCarter has assumed leadership of Ewing’s water management efforts, providing guidance, strategy and support for Ewing’s nationwide network of branch locations.

McCarter will leverage his experience as a Landscape Architect and product sales manager roles in irrigation manufacturing, to support Ewing’s mission to help contractors and communities conserve water through the use of water efficient technologies and best management practices. His primary responsibilities will focus on sales development through marketing and promotions, vendor category management, product sales support, and technical training and education.

“Our focus will remain on providing the right tools to enhance our customers’ ability to succeed in business in what is fast-becoming a water-conscious economy,” said Jim Hudson, Ewing’s Vice President of Sales and interim manager of the water management sales team.

“Steve is well-versed in water management and efficiency, and his continued progress in the areas of education, technical support and product line expansion will help ensure that our customers have access to the best tools and solutions to be even more effective water managers now, and in the future.”

McCarter joined Ewing’s Water Management Team in April, offering support to contractors and Ewing branches in the central U.S., and working to expand the company’s drip irrigation product offering. Prior to Ewing, he spent 30 years working for several major irrigation manufacturers, most recently as a senior product sales manager covering the central U.S.

McCarter will work closely with Hudson and Warren S. Gorowitz, who previously led the division for more than a decade and now serves as Ewing’s Vice President of Sustainability, in facilitating a smooth transition and supporting vendor relationships.
