May 2, 2016, Phoenix, Ariz.—Jon Luoma has joined Ewing Irrigation & Landscape Supply’s executive team as Vice President of Purchasing and Product Management. In his new role, Luoma will guide and execute the vision, strategy, direction and profitability of Ewing’s product offering, as well as oversee purchasing, product management, vendor relations, inventory management and compliance. 

“Successful inventory management is a complex process—one that is integral to ensuring our customers’ needs are met on a daily basis,” said Douglas York, President of Ewing Irrigation & Landscape Supply.

“In his previous role as National Irrigation Product Manager, Jon worked on related initiatives, making significant progress in positioning Ewing for new growth and future development. This, along with his cumulative industry experience, makes him well suited to guide our future efforts,” said York.

Prior to Ewing, Luoma served as Irrigation Department Manager for a large contractor, overseeing the construction of high-end residential and commercial landscape and irrigation projects. He later transitioned to United Pipe & Supply, creating and driving business development for its irrigation division while providing in-field technical and design support, as well as conducting educational seminars for contractors and municipalities.

Jon joined Team Ewing in 2012, serving as a residential and commercial sales account manager in the Pacific Northwest. He was promoted to National Irrigation Product Manager in 2014, overseeing the direction of all products and vendors associated with Ewing’s irrigation offering from coast to coast.

Jon recently relocated to Phoenix, Ariz., following an 18-year stint in Bend, Ore. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his wife and best friend, Erin, and two dogs, Maya and Oliver. He is an avid traveler and outdoorsman, with favorite activities ranging from fly fishing and backpacking to running and snowmobiling.
