Ewing’s Alex Farros will help Northern California landscape and irrigation professionals grow their business with hardscape installation and maintenance projects.
April 21, 2010, Phoenix, Ariz.—In response to the current economic climate and challenges faced by Northern California Green Industry professionals, Ewing charges hardscape specialist Alex Farros with helping contractors build their business through hardscape services. As Ewing’s Northern California Hardscape Specialist, Farros will use his applied knowledge of hardscape products and applications to assist contractors, architects and specifiers in the greater Sacramento area with proper design, installation and maintenance of residential and commercial hardscape projects.
Prior to joining Ewing, Farros served as territory sales manager for Basalite, with oversight of dealer, contractor and architectural sales for the hardscape division. Previously, he worked for the Calstone Company as sales and marketing manager.
Farros is a certified Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI) instructor and installer, certified Permeable Interlocking Concrete Pavement (PICP) installer, and resides on the board of directors for the Northern California ICPI Chapter. He holds additional certifications in paver sales to specifiers, advanced paver sales, Pave-Tech “Hands On” training, Keystone and Allan Block Retaining walls, and a National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA) landscape certification.
Farros is an active member of the ICPI, NCMA, American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), Building Industry Association (BIA), Construction Specification Institute (CSI) and the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from San Diego State University.
