January 09, 2017, Phoenix, Ariz.—Winter is about to get a shake up! Ewing Education Services encourages contractors to dust the snow off their boots and get ready to learn at this year’s Winter Education Summit. The event will take place Feb. 16 at the Eagle Crest Resort in Redmond, Ore.

The summit offers 12 different classes featuring a wide range of topics that include irrigation, hardscape, lighting, turf, specialty products and agriculture.

From classes on electrical troubleshooting to ones on sprayer calibration, the Winter Education Summit provides top-notch training for all contractors.

Brandon Thale, Branch Manager at Ewing’s Bend, Ore. location, played a large part in planning this event.

“It’s one of the most thorough training contractors can get in central Oregon,” he said. “Anyone that needs continuing education credits (CEUs) should attend.”

Many of the classes offer a certain number of CEUs that can be obtained by simply attending the class. You can view the course list at EwingEducationServices.com. Check with your certifying organization to determine eligibility.

Dave Bower, Grower Product Specialist for Ewing, will be teaching a newly featured agriculture course on container irrigation for growers.

The class is geared toward current growers, but also applies to any contractor who wants to work with container irrigation in the nursery industry.

“The class shows contractors who may not often work with the nursery sector what products are used for container irrigation, and how to properly use them,” Bower said.

“Current growers can also benefit from the class by learning what the newest and latest and greatest products are,” he said.

Beyond the excellent classes, Thale pointed out that the summit also provides one-of-a-kind networking opportunities.

Ewing instructors have years of experience in different areas of the industry and are excellent resources for attendees.

Whether you specialize in hardscape, irrigation installations, outdoor lighting or any other area of the irrigation and landscape industry, the Winter Education Summit has something for you! Come experience our awesome classes for yourself and get up-to-date on your CEUs!
