Fire Up Your Next Custom Project With Flame Simulated Lighting

Written by Ewing Outdoor Supply | Sep 29, 2017 2:55:29 PM

It’s surprising how a flickering flame can transform a space. It’s also surprising how difficult it can be to install fire-lit lighting. With technology, though, it’s now possible to deliver the ambiance of fire safely, easily and cost effectively, giving contractors a new and unique custom design element for residential and commercial projects.

With traditional gas lanterns, installations require access to re-fillable propane tanks or natural gas lines. If those infrastructures aren’t already established, this can drive the cost of any landscape project up. The billed consumption of gas or propane can add significant costs per month, per fixture as well. From a user perspective, open flame lighting can raise safety concerns and require monitoring while in use.

Instead of worrying about gas lines or the monthly billing they create, there’s now a way to create the ambiance of a flame without the added costs or worry.

The Coppersmith has found a way to harness the elegant dance of a flame with LED flame simulation pathway lights and torches.

“The flame simulation pathway light is a great accent to a landscape, but it’s important to be strategic about the placement and use of this lamp,” said Roger Ramsey, Ewing’s National Specialty Products Manager.

Here are two ways to create the perfect custom look with flame simulated accent lights:

Made with a proprietary rain glass combined with a 96 LED light pattern, The Georgetown Coppersmith pathway lights add a majestic and ornate flair to any entrance way or path.

The finished height above ground is 27 inches and is made of copper and glass. The 96 LED lights are programed to simulate a natural flame within an eight-watt, 12-volt transformer ready lamp.

The fixtures can be stake mounted into the landscape as path lights or can be purchased with other mounting options, including pier mounts, surface mounts or wall mounts.

Flame simulated torch

Create the illusion of a burning torch anywhere, anytime without the danger of an open flame.

Made with marine grade black aluminum and hand-blown crackle glass lens, The Coppersmith LED torch 12-volt transformer ready light fixture, perfect for an outdoor entertainment space. The LED torch comes standard with a ground-mount stake.

Extend your options into special orders

In addition to the stake-mounted path lights and torch, there other flame-simulated lighting fixtures available.

The Georgetown fixture design is available in five larger sizes in both 12-volt low voltage and 120-volt line voltage. These larger sizes can be used to retrofit wall sconces on garages, back patios and more. The variety of size options allows contractors to scale the fixture to match the application.

The torch fixture can also be ordered with a rechargeable power module that can last 30 hours between charges and can be set on a timer. The battery-powered torch can be featured on a half-inch diameter-mounting stake or as a removable flame fixture placed on tabletops, pillars or walls.
