New location in Covington supports population growth and offers convenience to customer base in southeastern Atlanta.
February 9, 2009, Phoenix, Ariz. – Deepening its roots in the Atlanta market, Ewing opens a new location in Covington, marking its seventh location in Georgia.
Located at 12135 Liberty Drive, the 10,500-square-foot store and warehouse will allow Ewing to reach customers in the suburbs of southeast Atlanta, and support the population growth in the Lake Oconee area.
As a family-owned and operated business with an intense focus on customer relations, Ewing’s Covington location aims to set the new standard for offering contractors unparalleled service and support. Managing the location is two-and-a-half year Ewing veteran, Alan Hollen.
“I am excited about this opportunity because the area is still learning and expanding in the field of water management,” adds Hollen.
With Georgia still stricken by drought, Hollen is eager to help contractors incorporate the latest water management products, practices and trends into their daily operations, as well as to help contractors diversify their current offerings with additional services such as water features and landscape lighting.
Upon completion of the turf management program from Penn State, Hollen has over 16 years experience in golf management, and is joined by Michael Peters, a former irrigation contractor, and Jason Strantz, who has an extensive background in the housing industry.
“I think we have all the bases pretty well covered,” says Hollen of the diversity of his staff’s experience. Ewing first entered the Georgia market in 2002 with the opening of its Marietta branch.
