January 23, 2018, PHOENIX—Just as a variety of plants and vegetation flourish in the warm, humid climate of Florida, Ewing Irrigation & Landscape Supply is dedicated to helping green industry professionals in the state grow and thrive as well.
Ewing, the largest family-owned wholesale distributor of green industry products and services, recently opened two new Florida locations, providing contractors and homeowners alike with better service in more convenient locations.
Ewing St. Petersburg, located at 3199 46th Avenue N., opened its doors to green industry professionals in the Tampa area in early January, becoming one of thirteen full service Ewing locations in the state.
Ewing already has two locations in the Tampa area, Ewing Clearwater and Ewing Wesley Chapel, but wanted to help contractors in Pinellas County avoid traffic delays.
“The opening of Ewing St. Petersburg allows us to serve all of Pinellas County. Our Clearwater location serves north Pinellas County, while this new location will serve south Pinellas County,” said Dwight Forde, branch manager of Ewing St. Petersburg. “We’re excited to be where our customers are and help them continue growing their businesses by providing outstanding customer service and giving them access to all the products they need.”
Forde has more than a decade of experience as a green industry distributor, specializing in agronomics, pest control and landscape lighting. “Our store’s product selection includes lawn and ornamental, irrigation, hardscapes, sports fields, golf course, landscape and tree supplies and safety products. We’re here to be a resource for our contractors to help them maintain and grow their business. And have some fun while we do it,” Forde said.
About 160 miles south of the new St. Petersburg store, Ewing Naples opened later in January. The new Naples location will service contractors and homeowners in southern Florida with any irrigation, turf management, hardscape, pest control, landscape lighting, golf or sports fields related job. The store is located at 4306 Progress Ave.
Ewing Naples manager Tim Haskins transferred from the Ewing Fort Myers store where he was branch manager and has more than two decades of experience in the golf industry.
“Having called Naples home for 47 years, I look forward to introducing the Ewing family culture to our local customers,” said Haskins. “The Naples location will benefit customers with multiple product offerings, sustainability opportunities, business growth and ultimately better flexibility in their day-to-day operations. It’s a great addition to our locations in Florida, because it shows our dedication to contractors in this state. We’re committed to growing with our customers here in Florida,” Haskins said.
