August 13, 2018 PHOENIX—Ewing Irrigation & Landscape Supply opened its first location in New York on Long Island earlier this month. Located at 855 Marconi Ave., Ronkonkoma, NY 11779-7228, Ewing Ronkonkoma is the exclusive distributor of Rain Bird Golf® products in New York.
This new Ewing location will service a variety of green industry professionals, including irrigation and landscaping contractors, golf course superintendents, sports field managers and more.
Richard Wells is the store’s manager. Originally from Arizona, where Ewing is headquartered, Wells started working for Ewing three years ago. He decided to move the New York to open this new location, because of his passion for helping customers.
“I’m excited to take a store from nothing but concrete and empty shelves and help turn it into the full Ewing experience for our customers here in New York,” Wells said. “While this is an entirely new market for Ewing and for me, the job that I’m doing isn’t much different. It’s all about serving our customers and helping them grow their businesses. That’s why we’re here and that’s what I show up to work every day to do.”
The store will carry a wide variety of products for green industry professional, including irrigation supplies, fertilizer and chemicals, tools and accessories, golf course products, sports field materials and much more.
Ewing Ronkonkoma is the third location Ewing has opened in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Region this year. Ewing West Berlin in New Jersey and Ewing Gaithersburg in Maryland were opened in late June and early July respectively.
