Steve Ramsey to lead Ewing’s expanded Industrial & Agricultural Irrigation Division, providing support, supplies and services to industrial and agricultural customers nationwide.
May 21, 2010, Phoenix, Ariz.—As national product sales manager for Ewing’s Industrial & Agricultural Irrigation division, Steve Ramsey will work to further extend Ewing’s vast product and service offering to industrial and agricultural customers throughout the nation.
In addition to the vast array of quality products available at Ewing, support services that include design, technical and educational training will be available to Ewing customers for industrial applications such as aquaculture, hatcheries, nurseries and water parks, as well as for agricultural irrigation and agronomic applications for the rancher, farmer, orchardist, and vintner.
Leveraging Ewing’s strength in the residential and commercial landscape supply business, Ramsey will assist industrial and agricultural customers with efficient irrigation and water management, agronomic solutions and other supporting applications. Ramsey will also help guide Ewing’s education, communication, vendor relations and operational efforts as they relate to the industrial and agricultural market segments.
A Green Industry veteran for more than 30 years, Ramsey spent the majority of his career working his way up through the ranks of a landscape, agricultural and irrigation supplier serving Oregon, Washington and Idaho. Ramsey has been a loyal acquaintance of the Ewing family since the 1970’s, and joined Ewing as Pacific Northwest Regional Manager in 2005.
Ramsey holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Southern Oregon University, and is an active member of the Oregon Association of Nurseries (OAN) and the Irrigation Association (IA), including both the Oregon and Washington chapters.
