4 Products to Ease Into Outdoor Living Jobs

Written by Ewing Outdoor Supply | Aug 9, 2018 1:30:10 PM

Earlier this week we discussed four tips for providing outdoor living services to your customers. With these tips and techniques, you can easily incorporate lighting, hardscape and other backyard projects into your offerings, but what products do you need to complete these jobs? Here are four products that will help you ease into outdoor living jobs.

Sealers and glue

To incorporate hardscape, paver and water feature jobs in our business repertoire, repairs and replacements are a simple way to get started.

If you’re working on jobs with water features, AquaScape’s® Water Feature Cement and Sealant Installation Kit is a great product to have on-hand. This kit is ideal for beginners and includes everything you need to build or repair a water feature.

For pavers and hardscapes, SEK Surebond’s Protect-A-Wall sealant is a non-hazardous, water-based stone sealant that is resistant to acid, salt, weathering and provides a moisture barrier for mildew, fungus and algae. This product works on a variety of projects, including concrete, block, masonry, stucco and manufactured stone.

Fire pits

A backyard fire pit might not seem like an easy job, but with RTF Systems, you can save labor and build a ready-to-finish fire pit in just eight hours. RTF fire pits come pre-drilled and with flat packaging for easy assembly, storage and transportation. This Ewing blog offers additional information on the RTF’s flexible designs and upgrade options.

Next time you’re working with a customer who wants to enjoy their backyard even more, talk to them about installing an RTF System.

Bistro lighting

Lighting is one project that can completely change an outdoor environment. With the right fixtures and placement, lighting can take a dark, unusable outdoor space into a nighttime oasis

Bistro lighting is functional, festive and easy-to-install, making it a great place to start when getting into lighting jobs. “With its high-perceived value and reasonable material and installation costs, bistro lighting is a natural add-on to almost every project,” said Roger Ramsey, Ewing’s National Specialty Project Manager. “It enhances any outdoor living environment, from temporary special event setups to permanent installations for restaurants, patios, streetscapes and more.”

With a variety of styles and lamp options, you can easily pitch this project to customers. For more information on Ewing’s bistro lighting products and installation tips, click here.

Outdoor sound

With the pavers freshened up, a newly installed fire pit and beautiful bistro lights, what else can a customer ask for? Sound is the final element that can really bring any outdoor living space to life.

Offering outdoor sound installation as a service can complete your outdoor living offerings. It might sound difficult, but installing outdoor sound can actually be simple with the Sonance Sonarray SR1 System.

With eight speakers, a dual coil in-ground subwoofer, an amplifier, ground stakes and silicone filled wire nuts, the speaker kit with amplifier and the add on kit include everything you need to install an outdoor sound system on any job. Read this Ewing blog for installation tips or contact your local Ewing store.

These are just some of the products that can help ease you into offering outdoor living services or add to an existing job. To find more about our outdoor living products, check out our outdoor living pages or contact your local Ewing store for demos, education events and more.
